Informal information:

A very fine Shohin cascade by Koshosen, first son and successor of Jyuedo Shosen of the Yamaaki kiln.

This pot, with the "Ko-Shosen" nail signature (Ko meaning junior, indicated by the three dashes above Sho-sen) was made before 1995, and before Shosen Sr. passed away. These are collectible Yamaaki pots, they are hand made and the least common, hence the price is higher. There is a special dedication (I haven't translated it), the seal is also an older Yamaaki seal.
The first picture is after a light application of oil.

Condition: used, excellent.

Koshosen, real name Sadamitsu Kataoka, also took the name Matsuizumi after his father passed away. The Yamaaki kiln was the most productive bonsai pot factory in Tokoname, thanks to Shosen Seniors modernisation. They fired a large gas kiln, producing very popular pots that captured the spirit of ancient Chinese pots. Only pots with nail signatures were handmade.
