Formal description:
Handmade Japanese bonsai pot by Matsushita of Tokoname. Mokko with bag rim, lower band, cut feet, seal and signature of Matsushita underneath.

Great shape and clay from Matsushita on this XL mokko pot.Aas can be seen from the upside down pictures, it has a good start on patina.
Condition: Used, excellent.
Matsushita, Hiroyuki Matsushita, born 1960, 4th generation potter of the Tokoname Matsushita pottery, his father is Reiho. His work is a departure from ancient Chinese styles, but is based on research of old Tokoname clay, firing and making methods. He started as an avant-garde potter, but came back to bonsai pots, his work is both recognisably his and popular.
