Formal description:
Japanese bonsai pot from the Toyo kiln of Tokoname. Round shape, slight internal rim, upper and lower bands with rivets, foot ring. Seal of Toyo underneath.
External dimensions:
330 x 95mm (13 x 3¾in)
Internal dimensions:
302 x 80mm (12 x 3⅛in)
Informal information:
Large unglazed round pot with two bands of taiko drum style rivets. Well made Tokoname pot, the extra height perhaps useful for a semi-cascade, or just extra root space.
This Toyo pot, handmade on the wheel, represents great value for a Tokoname pot,.
