Formal description:

Artisan made Japanese bonsai pot from the Hokido kiln of Tokoname. Rectangle with internal rim, upper and lower bands, cut feet, seal of Hokido underneath.

External dimensions:

245 x 190 x 40mm ( 9⅝ x 7½ x 1⅝ in)

Internal dimensions:

220 x 168 x 28mm (8⅝ x 6⅝ x 1⅞ in)

Informal information:

A larger Hokido rectangle with rounded corners, ideal for a deciduous tree or Azalea. Quality is excellent, typical Hokido, smooth burnished vermillion clay, with a good sense of age to it.

In the pictures the pot has been lightly oiled, there are some marks to the rim which in all likelihood are there to stay, i.e. 'character'. You cannot clean one of these pots, unless you've had success with burying one.

Condition: Used, some watermarking, very good.
