Formal Description:
Handmade Japanese mame bonsai pot by Hidekuni Yokota. Round, external rim, hand pinched cats paw feet, candy coloured Amé glaze. Seal under.

Informal information:
Very nicely thrown little pot, good drainage too. The clay is a stoneware, not completely vitrified so this might not be safe outside in a frost. The amé glaze is a superb colour and is applied underneath and most of the way down the feet, high quality work.
Condition: used, excellent.
Hidekuni Yokota, aka Shuge, born 1944 in Saitama, started making pottery around 1973. He belongs to the Daiichi Art Association, has exhibited at the Keisei Exhibition, and ispopular for unglazed and glazed works made by hand.
