Formal Description:
Informal information:
Bushuan is a very popular potter for his modern multi-layered glazed pots. This is a great example of his popular green based glazing, and also comes with a signed box and cloth which is uncommon.
His layering of the glazes is sometimes just playful, but often scenes emerge from the layers. In this case, it is not too hard to see mountains in the metallic black shapes and a lively sea in the blue below, the depth to the glazing is really something.
Seal, signature and box make this an ideal collectors / exhibitors pot.

Condition: unused, excellent.
Shigeru Fukuda, aka Bushuan - A retired racing driver and also bonsaist who took up the hobby in his young adulthood, he collected Chinese pots and began making them himself in 1986. His glazes are usually multi-layered, often very much so, and his work is often compared to Tofukuji. They have similarities, but Bushuan goes further in his layering and compositions. His green based glazes are perhaps the easiest to use, resulting in them being most popular.
According to Matt Ouwinga (who trades as kaede-en on eBay), he almost completely retired from making pots in 2017, whereupon two Japanese dealers bought out his inventory. His pots are very popular with collectors and prices continue to rise.
