Formal description:

Artisan made Japanese bonsai pot from the Hokido kiln of Tokoname. Corner cut rectangle with external rim, lower band, cloud feet and nail signature of Hokido and dedication underneath.

External dimensions:
117 x 87 x 39mm (4⅝ x 3⅜ x 1½ in)

Internal dimensions:
98 x 68 x 25mm (3⅞ x 2⅝ x 1 in)

SKU: 23213

Informal information:

A particularly refined shohin grey rectangle from Hokido in excellent condition. The first and third photos are after a light oiling which brings out the character of the clay. Grey Hokido pots are more accessible than the vermillion red clay ones, and make excellent pots for conifer species.

Hokido pots are relatively expensive, perhaps because of the quality, perhaps because he was only active for a relatively short time. They aren't easy to come by and so for production pots, command high prices. I expect this will only increase.

Condition: Used, excellent.

Shipping:

Shipping within the UK is included in the price.

I usually ship with Royal Mail, if you prefer DPD or Evri, please add a note to your order or email. There may be a surcharge.

EU: Please get in touch with me before placing an order. I will quote you a price that includes shipping and taxes. This is the fastest way to get items without customs delays.

US: Please get in touch. Currently 0% tax on import of art works and cultural items so the price will be lower, but I will need to quote for shipping. I'm not shipping pots over 12in to US.

International: - please ask for a quote for shipping. Any import fees are the responsibility of the customer. I'm not shipping pots over 12in internationally.

Price:

UK buyers: Please note import costs when comparing this item with items overseas! These typically comprise: the shipping fee, and, on arrival, you will pay VAT at 20%, possibly import duty and a customs clearance fee. My items are simply the price advertised.

Returns:

I guarantee that the pot condition is as described and will take it back if you aren't happy with it. Items are returned at the buyers cost & risk. Please be aware that most UK couriers will NOT insure ceramic items, however it is certainly easier than returning overseas. Please get in touch if you want to return an item.

Breakage in Transit:

Sadly, despite the best packaging, it does occassionally happen. Please prepare photo/ video evidence and contact me at the earliest opportunity.
