Formal description:
Japanese bonsai pot by Izumi-Ya / Zenigo of Tokoname. Tall rectangle with flared lip, lower bead, cut feet and seal of Izumi-Ya underneath.
External dimensions:
340 x 240 x 140mm (13⅜ x 9½ x 5½ in)
Internal dimensions:
297 x 200 x 112mm (11⅝ x 7⅞ x 4½ in)
Informal information:
Large, masculine, distinctly Asian design. This taller pot has a lot of presence, and the height makes it useful for many styles, but particularly semi-cascade. It also has the weight to balance an asymmetric or overhanging design.
Condition is unused, excellent.
