Perhaps your first suiseki? This Abegawa stone comes from the Abe river in Shizuoka prefecture, Japan and would be classified as a mountain stone, or more specifically a Mt. Fuji stone as it bears some resemblance to the famous mountain.
Perhaps it's most useful feature is it's diminuitive size, perfectly suitable for a mame display. The bottom is cut, and whilst this is generally considered less attractive than a natural stone, it does make it easy to pair with a shallow suiban, such as those shown in the pictures.
The daiza has been handmade from wood for this stone, it is a relatively simple one but pairs well with it.
Size: 115 x 48 x 35mm (4½ x 1⅞ x 1⅜ in)
SKU: 25030
Condition: Excellent, signs of surface treatment, no damage.
The suiban (glazed ceramic trays) shown are for illustrative purposes, not included in sale.
