I'm putting up two of my Soga Sanjin Tiger Stones because I can only keep one and I can't decide which! The second will be removed once one has sold. Please get in touch if you'd like to purchase one.
A stone previously owned by Soga Sanjin, famous collector.
A kiribako box with hand written inscriptions by Soga Sanjin and a cloth are included.
Beyond a stone being 'good', provenance, that is, who owned it in the past and exhibitions in shows are the most important ways of determining quality and value. Soga Sanjin was a famous collector, and famous for collecting uncut stones of the highest quality.
A Tiger stone featuring black and rare white stripes. Sanjin ingeneously decided to arrange the stone vertically, whereupon the white stripes become waterfalls cascading down mountains.
