External dimensions:

Internal dimensions:
402 x 250 x 36mm (15⅞ x 9⅞ x 1⅜ in)
Informal information:
Kakuzan is one of my favourite potters from Tokoname (although it's a long list!) - I love the qualities of his clay, and here you can see his glazing is excellent too. The glaze recreates the look of antique Chinese "White Kochi" - a low fire lead based glaze that has a soft warmth to it that patinates well. This pot has a great crackle and patina from many years of use.
His pots rarely come up, and this is a superb example.
Condition - used, excellent, patina.
Kakuzan is another top kiln in Tokoname, Mr. Watanabe is a 4th generation potter, his family kiln started in 1888. He has been making pots for over 50 years and is recognised as a master of his art.
